Qualifications:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setup production equipment to produce product in accordance with production needs.
• Provide support on existing product lines of a variety of industrial instruments.
• Perform dimensional and functional inspection of prototypes and production run.
• Generate engineering reports and design & development documents
• Coordinating efforts with a Manufacturing to ensure that the design is created in accordance with what is required.
• Conduct simulations for rubber flow and pack analysis of sealing devices
• Evaluate changes to rubber formulations and process settings
• Design subsystems, assemblies, and their components to meet customer and internal requirements within budget and schedule constraints
• Revise engineering documentation for existing designs
• Perform validation and verification of designs in accordance with established industry standards and engineering best practices
• Prepare stress analysis, and critical assembly instructions
• Analyze design for reliability, serviceability and manufacturability
• Provide support to other departments such as Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Project Engineering, and Project Management

• Be sure that safety rules are followed according to Extrusion Operation Work Instructions.
• All aspects of the Extrusion Line are in proper working order prior to each start-up.
• All aspects of the job are fully understood prior to starting up.
• Line Set-up according to required Line Specification Parameters.
• Attain all Product Characteristics according to Line Specification Parameters.
• Continually Inspect Product Characteristics to ensure conformance to requirements, for variation trends, and make adjustments to prevent unnecessary nonconforming product.
• Continually Monitor Extrusion Line Process to maintain process control and prevent line interruption due to process variation.
• Ensure product is packaged according to Line Specification requirements and that product is arranged to prevent damage and/or distortion.
• Document Product/Process data as required according to the Line Specification
• Maintain Extrusion Linework area is neat and orderly.
• Effectively communicate process/product issues to supervisors and co-workers.
